While most of the Exadata world revolves around Linux and x86, Oracle’s high-end Power and SPARC systems utilize a unique virtualization technology: Oracle VM Server for SPARC (formerly known as Logical Domains or LDoms).

1. The Architecture: Bare-Metal Virtualization
